Data Overview

Research Patient Data Registry (RPDR): The RPDR is a centralized clinical data registry that that contains data from electronic health records (EHRs) in various hospital systems (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Faulkner Hospital, Newton Wellesley Hospital, North Shore Medical Center, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, McLean Hospital, and Massachusetts Eye and Ear) within the Partners Healthcare system (PHS). The RPDR contains patient information including: demographics, diagnosis, medications, vital signs, health history, laboratory and radiology tests, clinical notes and reports and MORE.
The Medicare, Medicaid, and various commercial claims databases contain information on demographics (age, gender, race/ethnicity, etc.), enrollment start and end dates, dispensed medications, performed procedures and their associated dates, and medical diagnoses with their associated dates and settings (inpatient care, outpatient care, or in a skilled nursing facility).

The C4IHDR and RPDR teams are collaborating on a connection that will allow researchers the opportunity to link robust EHR and CMS (Medicare and Medicaid) data to further advance and support research outcomes studies.
